The app is called ‘GrowIt‘ and it lets you garden socially, for free. Whether you want to show off your plants, or find something that will work in your garden there’s something for every type of gardener.
In 2014, two plant nerds set out to change the world of plants. They wanted to show more people the joy of growing. They sought to create a fun and entertaining experience where knowledge could be spread through a social community. In 2015 GrowIt was launched, and the growing world has never been the same!
This is such a cool app! I mean, who doesn’t like to show off their plants, flowers and gardens to others! This app will not only give you great, helpful information, it will allow you to connect with other growers in your area or around the world…for free! So fun! 🙂
Share photos of your favorite/least favorite plants to let others in your are know what they should or should not be growing!
See what people are growing around you. Use the search and explore feature to find plants that other community members have posted that meet your needs!
Get plant information! Once you find something you like, click on the information tab to find out what it would take to grow that plant!
Create a project list!
Have a plant or flower that you can’t identify? Upload a picture and let community members help you identify it!
You can create a profile also. The more you do and interact on GrowIt, the more ‘Gro*wards’ you earn, which will gain you some gardening perks!
