Having pets is awesome, having pets that go to the bathroom in your yard – not so awesome.
When it comes to brown spots scattered about a pet owners yard, there is typically a dog that is to blame. A dogs urine has concentrated amounts of ammonia and nitrogen, which actually burns and kills grass. Thus, leaving discolored spots all over your yard.
There are plenty of store bought remedies that you could use to fix these spots, but they can be expensive.
There is a simple do it yourself solution that will get rid of brown spots caused by pets and have your grass growing healthy and green again!
The key ingredient – baking soda.
Simply mix two tablespoons of baking soda with a gallon of water and pour over the brown spot. The baking soda will neutralize the concentrated mounts of ammonia and nitrogen in the urine and the grass won’t die off.
It’s really that simple!
