Marie made quite the impression on millions of people before sadly passing in 2006 at the age of 95. Jay Leno introduced the world to Marie as the ‘Fruitcake Lady’ on the Tonight Show back in 2000. A segment of the show called ‘Ask The Fruitcake Lady’, where people asked Marie questions about life, love and everything else — and Marie didn’t disappoint in answering in raunchy and hilarious fashion.
In one appearance on The Tonight Show, she showed Leno and guest Tom Cruise how to make a fruitcake…and it was absolutely hilarious!
Marie was incredibly funny, witty, loving and nothing was off limits with her! She was a true comedic gem!
