Some people have their brother or best ‘human’ friend act as their best man in their wedding, others, have their 800-pound grizzly bear play the part!
Casey grew up in Helena, Montana and raised the now 800-pound grizzly bear named Brutus. Casey met Brutus when he was just a tiny bear cub and his family took him in as their own after Brutus’ mother and father could no be found.
Brutus lived with the family, inside their home until he grew to big! That is where the Montana Grizzly Encounter Rescue and Educational Sanctuary comes in. The sanctuary was a place for Brutus to live and teach children and adults about grizzly bears.
To this day, Casey and Brutus have a bond like no other. The two are inseparable and Casey states that Brutus is truly his best friend. Brutus even acted as Casey’s best man in his wedding.
