None of this was good.

A helicopter carrying a donor heart for a heart transplant crashed onto a hospital roof recently, which was then followed by the medic dropping the heart on the ground. As if it couldn’t get any worse, right?

An Agusta Westland A109 medical helicopter was delivering an emergency heart for a transplant.

Sadly, disaster struck when it flipped onto its side when landing on the roof of Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles.

Luckily, those on the helicopter only suffered minor injuries. But it was a true disaster situation.

Just when you thought the situation couldn’t get worse, the transplant heart was handed off to the medic…and then…

The medic tripped over a piece of metal from the helicopter crash and dropped the heart on the ground.

Although the heart fell…it was luckily protected and the heart eventually made its way – successfully- to the operating room.

“The pilot himself self-extricated from the wreckage and he was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.”

“The other two passengers that were in the aircraft also self-extricated and they’re being treated here at the Keck Medical Centre,” CBS reported.

Talk about a situation full of heart stopping moments!
