Anyone that has ever had a puppy, and even an adult dog, knows that they chew on things. In fact, they chew on everything! Just like babies, dogs go through a teething process with very itchy gums, and normally our shoes and furniture get the brunt of their gnawing. Unfortunately, puppies don’t exactly have a sense of self control and much like kids, learn it as they grow. If they chew on something, it’s because they want to chew on it, nothing more. If you don’t want your clothes and slippers to be ripped to shreds, be sure to give your pup lots of chew toys. And remember, patience is key, and so is training them, so best be patient as you train.
