How much would you pay for someone’s signature? A number of famous people including President Lincoln, William Shakespeare and Babe Ruth’s signature have earned a pretty penny, but none have brought in a staggering $9.8 million like President George Washington’s has. Of course it can also be found on the president’s Acts of Congress, which makes it worth even more. But it still was shocking when it was sold in a Sotheby’s auction in 2012 for almost ten million dollars. Of course, more than a person’s signature, it’s truly a piece of American history.
