This 1991 Damien Hirst creation was actually title “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living” before they decided to call the it “Dead Shark,” which honestly seems to be more fitting. Made from the actual carcass of a shark, it was eventually bought by a hedge fund owner for $12 million who prefers to remain anonymous, even if the price is not. Can you imagine walking into someone’s house and seeing this in front of you? The fear in their guests eyes is probably worth the crazy million dollar price tag.
