Another painting that sold for millions of dollars is by another post-impressionist French artist Paul Cezanne called The Card Players. It was painted in the early 1980s when Cezanne was already in his final period of work. Interestingly, this isn’t the only one either. Cezanne made a few paintings where he recreated a number of these card players, but it was this particular one that was sold for $300 million in 2011, making it the most expensive oil painting sold through a private sale by the Royal Family of Qatar.
