For military personnel and their families alike, Christmas time can be the toughest time of the year. This Holiday season, 3 million service men and women will be unable to return home for the holidays. But thanks to Jimmy Fallon and a famous friend, one less family will spend the holidays apart.
On The Tonight Show last week, Jimmy had an old friend, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on the show to enlist his help. At the end of their interview, Dwayne suddenly stood and announced that someone in the building had a family member in the military and would be reunited then and there.
And so, Jimmy and Dwayne stood and began scanning the audience as the suspense began to build. The duo walked through the audience to the back of the set and into the production room and asked for ‘Karina.’
Karina is an army veteran who met her husband in Iraq while they were both deployed. She hadn’t seen her husband, Air Force sergeant, Todd, in over a year and a half… but things were about to change in a big way.
