Lions are ferocious and powerful beasts when they want or need to be. Whether they are hunting or just protecting themselves and their families — you probably don’t want to mess around with a lion. Despite their extreme power and being the king of the jungle — sometimes lions get into sticky situations and need a little help from a fellow friend or relative to get out of the mess.
Well, that is exactly what happened in the situation below.
As part of the BBC series Dynasties, the video, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, follows male lion, Red, as he stumbles through the brush. As he walks, he encounters a gaggle of 20 hyenas, and it seems the lion knows that things are about to real. Red can no doubt take on a couple of hyenas on his own, but 20? Yikes!
As s**t hits the fan and Red is forced to defend himself, his cries of distress and frustration are heard from afar. Red’s bro Tatu hears the cries and strolls over to offer up a little assistance.
Tatu chases off some of the hyenas while Red does the same and all is well! The end result is just a couple of bro lions rubbing heads in thanks and gratitude!
