When Michael Richards Tried to Apologize for His Racist Rant

Once one of America’s most beloved comedians who was best known for playing the role of Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld, Michael Richards’ career went downhill after going on a horrible racist stint during a 2006 comedy show. People were so upset with Richards that his co-star Jerry Seinfeld arranged for him to give a public apology on The Late Show with David Letterman. Despite Richards’ attempts to apologize, the audience just laughed at him, even though Seinfeld was pleading with them to stop. In the end, Richards’ never managed to recover and he was hardly cast in anything after that.
