This tough and super fit mother of six traded in her Suburban for a bicycle and commutes throughout the city of Portland, Oregon with all six children in tow….and she does it daily!
Emily finch has six children and no car! That’s right folks, no car! Emily deals with the same struggles any parent does in order to get the children ready and out of the home, but instead of having her six children pile inside the family vehicle, they pile inside a bicycle carry along.
Equipped with music, storage and another bike in tow, Emily uses the bike as a daily means of transportation. Going to school, the store and play dates.
Five of Emily’s children ride with her on her bike and her oldest son (11) rides his own bike.
Emily says that as people pass her on the road she knows that they are looking in awe and it is obvious that they are counting all of the kids! “After I started riding the bike I never wanted to drive a car again” states Emily.
Could you imagine? This is surely one hardcore mama! I would imagine it might get a little tricky as the kids grow up and ask to use the bike to go pick up their date!
