He may be quick in the pool, but he is quite slow when answering questions.

There is a simple life lesson hat Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte wants the world to know ““My philosophy is if you’re a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning.”

The 11-time Olympic medalist started off badly when asked what he was doing, by saying: “Umm, what am I not doing?”

Improving slightly, the 28-year-old told anchors Mike Jerrick and Sheinelle Jones the premise behind his series was to look at the life of “not your typical” Olympian

He said others athletes just ate, slept and trained — but that he liked to have fun, go dancing, skateboarding and hang out with friends.

But after he was asked what kind of line a woman would have to say to him to get his attention, it was all downhill.

“Good question,” he replied, after the embarrassingly lengthy pause, before uttering the cryptic phrase: “My philosophy is if you’re a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning.”

He then revealed what it’s like to be followed by cameras 24/7, by saying: “The first couple days, it was a little weird. I mean, I was brushing my teeth and the camera was there.

“I was like, ‘What are you guys doing?’ I mean I guess there’s like a mirror with a sink, and you have the bathroom.”

The anchors, trying to stop a fit of the giggles from taking over, bid Lochte farewell and wished him luck with the show.

But it was all too much for the anchors, who broke down in tears and laughter.

“Seriously, how are they going to get enough material [for an entire season]?

Check it out and remember…in the words of an Olympian, ‘if you’re a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning’! 🙂
