Man has always been fascinated with flight of birds. Maybe because they seem to be so free, going wherever it pleases them. Even the myth of Icarus shows man’s penchant for soaring the skies. Many bird-watchers patiently spend lots of time to see and photograph certain bird species.
A woman in Michigan who came from Germany wanted to familiarize herself with birds she never saw in her homeland. This bird lover, Lisa, who goes by the name Ostdrossel on her social media, wanted to photograph them without scaring them away or causing any harm.
She experimented with various kinds of food to lure the birds and set up a Bird Photo Booth 2.0 which consists of a camera box, a macro lens, and an attachable feeder. The tiny camera she used had a motion sensor to best capture the birds in a non-intrusive way. She took pictures everyday, under any weather conditions.
