5 Simple Things You Can Do In Order To Have An Awesome Day…Everyday!

There is a lot to be said about positive thinking! For what ever reason, it is easier for us as humans, to think negatively rather than positively. If you are able to train your brain to think more positive, even about the slightest ‘negative’ situations…your days and life, will gradually become better and better!

ONE thing I do every night prior to going to bed, is say out loud ‘today was awesome and tomorrow will be even better’! By saying such a statement out loud, you are placing your brain and attitude into a positive mindset. You have closed out the day with a positive attitude and set yourself up for a positive tomorrow.

When I wake up in the morning, I say out loud ‘Today is going to be awesome!’. That is the very first thing I say when I open my eyes! This sets the tone for the entire day. Once you are up and at it…that is when thinking positively can be a challenge…at first anyways.

TWO…most of us will have something go wrong first thing in the morning, it just happens. Many of us, will immediately get upset and say ‘Oh great, I see how today is going to go’. By saying and thinking that way, you will be setting yourself up for absolute failure for the rest of the day. Negativity, breeds negativity.

Here is an example.

Lets say you are running a little late for work. You have a coffee in hand and you are driving. You end up spilling a bit of coffee on your shirt. Now, this is where this tiny situation can determine how the rest of your day goes. You could easily say ‘S**T, now what I am I going to do with this big stain on my shirt, I’m already late for work, UGH’. OR…you could just laugh it off and say ‘Oh man! Ugh! Oh well, what are you going to do…it’s just a stain’….and move on from it! If you choose the latter option, you have yet again, put our mind and attitude in a positive mind set. Just like negativity breeds negativity, positive thoughts yield positive results.

THREE…Do something nice for someone else…or pay it forward as the popular saying goes. There is nothing you can do that is better than that of doing for someone else. Whether you call it karma or positivity…it will come back around to you. It won’t be instant…but just wait and be patient!

When you do for others, you are placing your mind, heart and soul into a positive and happy place. Again…filling your day with as many positive vibes as possible is the key here!

One of my favorite things to do is simply pay for someones morning coffee. Whether it is inside of a store or via a drive-thru.

FOUR…Surround yourself with positive people. Laugh and have fun. If you are stuck at a job you hate…make it fun. Don’t wait for others to do it for you. If people around you are speaking negatively…move away from them or break up the negative vibe by making a joke. Being positive is one of the hardest things you will ever do, but you must be diligent and always ask yourself ‘how can I turn this negative into a positive?’.

There are so many negative people out there and you may not even realize it…because you are one of them. Complaining about work, school, people or their significant other. Most people always have something to complain about…but that doesn’t have to be you!

FIVE…Love…and love hard! Put your heart out there for all to see. Don’t be shy and live the way you want to live. Don’t conform to those who live in a negative world…be your own, positive person. As you continue to think more and more positive about ALL situations from day to day…you will slowly start seeing good things come your way. Life will get better, you will be healthier and happier. It will take some time…but stick with it and watch as your life changes!

The biggest thing I learned about myself as I made conscious choice to become positive…was how negative I truly was. I also learned how negative the people around me are. It’s truly crazy!

  • I’m happy and healthy!
  • Everything is going to be okay!
  • Bring on today because I’m ready!
  • Lets Do This! 
  • I’m thankful for today!
