It is believed nations like the US, England, France, Spain and Germany are about 9-10 days behind in the COVID-19 progression in Italy. Youtuber A THING BY – asked people from all around Italy to record a message to the themselves of 10 days prior.
Italy has by far, been hit the worst by the coronavirus. As of 3/16/20 the country has recorded roughly 25,000 confirmed cases of the infectious disease with a death toll of 1809. Italy also reported 368 deaths in a 24-hour time frame from 3/15 to 3/16.
Governments around the world have stepped up restrictions on the movement of their citizens to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has killed nearly 5,800 people with over 153,000 infected globally, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
In the United States, schools have shut down, gatherings of 50 people or more are being asked to be cancelled or postponed and grocery stores are selling out of almost everything as people panic and hoard large quantities of food and supplies. Governors of certain states have also begun ordering bars and restaurants to cease operations immediately.
