“Tryin’ to Get to You” is a song written by Rose Marie McCoy and Charles Singleton. It was originally recorded by the Washington DC vocal group The Eagles and was released in mid-1954. Elvis got hold of the melodic masterpiece the very next year and debuted on his first record “Elvis Presley.”
Fast forward 60 years and we find a young kid named Raffi Antonyan who just might be Elvis reborn. Raffi, or Rockin Raffi Antonyan as he’s known, played a beautiful rendition of “Tryin’ to Get to You” dedicated to a miss Deborah Hamilton for her birthday.
Watch below as this young guy does the King of Rock’n’roll some serious justice…and after that…check out Raffi’s incredibly rockin’ performance of Jerry Lee Lewis’ ‘Great Balls Of Fire’!
