Pictured above is Harald Jäger, formerly of the East German Passport Control Unit, standing on the Bornholm Bridge, which was one of the border crossings between East and West Berlin in the 60s until 1990. Known as the “man who opened the Berlin Wall,” it was said that Harald, during the aftermath of a misunderstood press conference that resulted to thousands of East Germans flocking to the wall, disobeyed orders and opened the border crossing, subsequently resulting to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
