In the wake of the ‘slime’ movement, millions upon millions of kids are making batches of their very own DIY slime! For children, this is awesome! For parents…not so much!
Whether your child is making colored slime or the dreadful ‘glitter’ slime, both types can make a horrific mess and potentially ruin clothing if spilled. (Trust me, my daughter enjoys making the glitter version and after she is done making it, my home looks like a glittery unicorn trampled through.)
Below, one awesome mother shares how to remove those dreadful slime stains from clothing, quickly and easily.
If your child ends up getting slime on a piece of clothing like the image below, you can remove it in no time with a few simple steps!
1. Fill your sink with warm water and pour white vinegar directly onto the stain and allow it to soak in.
2. Place the article of clothing into the warm water and start to work away the slime.
3. If any residue remains, simply add some dish soap too the affected area and rub together until clean.
Voila! The stain will fully be removed and the article of clothing will be saved…until next time at least! 🙂
This little trick has been proven to work time and time again! It is a lifesaver for sure!
