It won’t be on TV until 2018, but ABC has released a first look photo of the cast of Roseanne! The cast has reunited to make eight more episodes classic series. The series originally aired from October 18, 1988, to May 20, 1997, making today its 29th anniversary.
Original cast members returning are Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), and Laurie Metcalf (Jackie). Fans of the series will remember that Dan suffered a fatal heart attack in the series finale, so it will be interesting to see how his character is resurrected, or if the series finale is just ignored as if it never happened.
Also pictured are Sara Gilbert (Darlene), and Beckys No. 1 and 2 Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke. Clearly, both women can’t play Becky, so Chalke will be appearing in a mystery role.
Not pictured is Johnny Galecki, stars as Leonard on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, and it hasn’t been announced just yet —but according to ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey, negotiations have been set in motion— if he will return to guest star, reprising his role as David in the original series.
