Shemar Moore has been a staple on the hit TV show Criminal Minds for 11-years. His character, Derek Morgan has captured the hearts of many women over the years using his catchphrase ‘Baby Girl’.
On the show, Moore’s character has a close, flirtatious relationship with analyst, Penelope Garcia and refers to her as ‘Baby Girl’. The catchphrase goes beyond the TV screen and Moore even has a line of clothing called ‘Baby Girl’, where portions of the proceeds go to the National MS Society, a disease his mother suffers from.
Moore is also very active on his social media accounts, posting up to five times a day. He enjoys interacting with fans and calls all of his women fans, you guess it…Baby Girl.
This past season, Shemar Moore left Criminal Minds, which broke a lot of hearts. He went off to explore the movie scene, and ended right back on television with his new show S.W.A.T.
But just because he’s gone, doesn’t mean Moore has forgotten about his Criminal Minds family! Moore recently did an interview with CBS, describing how “baby girl” became to be.
Shemar Moore describes the evolution of Baby Girl Nation.
