Steve Harvey has put smiles on the faces of millions over the years. Steve’s unique ability to make people laugh in any situation has certainly helped create a long and successful career.
On the eve of Steve’s 58th birthday, the Steve Harvey show decided to plan a show with special guests and surprises for Steve.
At the beginning of the show, Steve’s wife came out on the stage and directed his attention to the shows monitor. A news crew was standing outside of Steve’s childhood home, along with some very special people in Steve’s life.
Among the group was Cleveland mayor Frank Jackson, who proclaimed January 17, 2015 as “Steve Harvey Day” and renamed a portion of E. 112th Street as “Steve Harvey Way!” Steve’s sisters and brother will joined the mayor along with Steve’s buddies from the neighborhood, some of whom he hasn’t seen in over 20 years!
The surprise was clearly emotional and overwhelming for Steve, as it should have been.
Imagine growing up in a struggling household, fighting your way through the crime ridden streets and eventually having the street you grew up on, named after you. Wow, such an honor.
