Post Medical Gary Herald

Canadian professional hockey player Jarome Iginla had quite a career. The Edmonton, Alberta native spent 23 seasons in the NHL, 17 of them with the Calgary Flames, and played over a staggering 1,500 games by the time he was through. He is a six-time All-Star, scoring 625 goals in his career, which is 15th all-time, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. He started dating his high school sweetheart, Kara Kirkland, in the eighth grade at Paul Kane High School, but has to transfer schools when he joined the WHL. They tied the knot in August of 2003 and now has three children together. The 42-year-old right wing is known for being one of the good guys on and off the ice, generously donating to charities which included KidSport, and runs his Jarome Iginla Hockey School in Calgary as a non-profit organization.
