Looking at his career, it would seem that former professional baseball pitcher Brandon McCarthy didn’t like to be committed long-term, as he played for seven different teams including the White Sox, Rangers, Diamondbacks, and Dodgers during his 13-year MLB career. His personal relationship nearly confirmed that when he and Amanda Nelson, who both attended Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, decided to part ways after high school. While Brandon attended Lamar Community College and eventually played in the majors, Amanda headed off to the University of Arizona and also became a model. The two would cross paths again, and this time, Brandon and Amanda stayed together. They married in 2010 and welcomed their daughter, Cassidy, in 2016.
