And still at the top of everyone’s lists is The Merge by artist Pak. Sold to over 28,000 collectors this piece is owned by multiple people and is currently the most expensive NFT sold to date. This was done by Nifty Project by using a buying structure called Mass wherein buyers purchase stacks that would increase their mass with the more stacks they purchased. Buyers could purchase any number of tokens starting with a unit price of US$575, which increased by US$25 every six hours. By the end, the tokens sold for a total of US$91.8 million.
