Apple’s most recent iOS update, iOS 9, implements a new feature that is sending peoples bills sky high if they’re on limited data plans.
Wi-Fi Assist, which is by default set to ON, switches you to 4G automatically if it thinks the WiFi connection you’re using isn’t fast enough. If you’re on a limited data plan, this is going to hurt your wallet.
Here’s how to shut off this feature:
1. Under Settings, Select ‘Cellular’.
2. Scroll Down Until You See ‘Wi-Fi Assist’.
3. Tap The Button To Set It To Off.
You just potentially saved yourself a fortune. Spread the word to anyone else you know with an iPhone. Don’t let them get his with a massive surprise bill!
