All it takes is a few simple steps and you will have an awesome Christmas gift that will definitely turn heads on Christmas morning!
This is by far one of the coolest DIY projects we have seen!
Here’s what you will need:
- Candles
- Tissue paper (like this kind)
- Printing paper
- Printer
- Scissors
- Tape
- Wax paper (for example)
- Hairdryer or hot air gun
How To Make:
First you want to trim a piece of the tissue paper. Make it smaller than a piece of printer paper.
Now you want to tape that tissue paper, with shiny side down, onto the printer paper.
Next, put the prepared page into the printer so that it prints onto the tissue side and choose the picture you want to be placed on your candle. Then print it out.
Cut the picture and leave a very small margin right around it. The photo will be on the light tissue paper.
Now put the photo across the middle of the candle. Over it put a sheet of wax paper while making sure there are not any air bubbles that exist under the paper.
Get your hairdryer, or the hot air gun. Turn it on and point it at the area of the photo. The upper layer of candle wax is going to start melting together with the tissue paper. The picture should get darker.
Once the picture gets a coloration which is consistent, then you will want to slowly pull the wax paper off. Leave the candle alone to set for half and hour.
