Indoor Swimming Pool

Having an indoor swimming pool provides the convenience of year-round swimming in the comforts of your home. It protects you from direct sunlight and allows you to luxuriate and plunge your stress away. However, new research shows that swimming in indoor pools can expose you to chemicals that may increase the risk for cancer and respiratory ailments. Pool maintenance and filtration system uses disinfecting chemicals specifically linked to chlorine and bromine. These are used to rid pools of bacteria and other harmful substances. Although these chemicals are used in all pools, indoors and outdoors, the sunlight and air help regulate its adverse effects through the process of evaporation. Suffice to say, air and sunlight help dissipate the chemicals when the pool is outdoors.
