Valentine’s day can be tough for single people, especially if you ended a relationship recently with a nasty — now ex.

Lucky for you, you don’t have to sit around on Valentine’s day wallowing in sadness and anger, you can get a little lighthearted revenge!

The El Paso Zoo in Texas wants to help cheer you up while offering you a bit of “revenge” towards that ex who totally screwed you over.

Employees at the El Paso Zoo are giving you a chance of a lifetime: to name a cockroach after your ex and then watch it get fed to a meerkat live on camera.

The zoo started this event last year and the response was so big, that they have decided to run it again in 2020!

All you need to do is send them the first name and initial of the last name of your ex via Facebook messenger and then wait patiently until February 14 to watch the cockroach get devoured during the “Quit Bugging Me” meerkat event, which will live-stream on Facebook and the zoo’s website.

Names of people’s exes will also decorate the meerkat exhibit, just to get the meerkats super pumped to eat a cockroach named after someone who broke your heart, while ensuring the perfect level of public humiliation.

To make it even more humiliating, the public is also invited to attend the “Quit Bugging Me” event.

El Paso Zoo event coordinator Sarah Borrego told CBS News:

This is a fun way to get the community involved in our daily enrichment activities. The meerkats love to get cockroaches as a snack, and what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than by feeding them a cockroach named after your ex!

The El Paso zoo isn’t the only zoo to offer such an awesome service!

The Bronx Zoo in New York and Zoo Boise in Idaho will also charge you less than $15 to name a cockroach after your insignificant other.

If you happen to live in the UK, the Hemsley Conservation Centre in England also provides a similar service.

However, the Sydney Zoo in Australia offers something a little more hardcore. It’ll let you name a highly venomous brown snake after your “snake of an ex.”

So needless to say, if you are looking to get a little harmless revenge on your ex this V-day…you have options!
