The twister ripped apart the Yen Phong District of the northern Bac Ninh Province on July 28th, destroying buildings and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Luckily, nobody was killed or even injured in the storm, despite the sheets of corrugated iron soaring through the air. Unfortunately, it left very little of the town still standing afterward.
In the terrifying footage, people can be seen running down the street with motorcycles zooming past them as they tried to escape the tornado’s path.
Quang Tung, an engineer working near the area, said the twister could be seen from two miles away. It “broke many trees and utility poles and blew off many iron sheet roofs,” he told Thanh Nien News, adding that the entire area was left “a mess.”
Don’t ever underestimate the power of nature.
