Air conditioning company Carrier said Tuesday that it had reached an agreement with President-elect Donald Trump that would keep over 1,000 jobs in Indianapolis.
The company was gearing up to move their business operations overseas in the near future, which would have cost many people their jobs here in the U.S..
In February, Carrier said it would shutter its Indianapolis plant employing 1,400 workers and move its manufacturing to Mexico.
The plant’s workers would have been laid off over three years starting in 2017.
This is certainly a huge win for the folks in Indiana working for Carrier. I’m sure the men and women who work for the company can take a sigh of relief today.
