A gunman opened fire at a Texas church on Sunday (12/29/19) killing to innocent people. The quick thinking and accurate shot of an armed security guard was able to prevent the gunman from taking many more innocent lives.
The incident took place at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas.
In the church surveillance video below, you will see a man get up from his seat in the middle of the church service and begin shooting. At that time, an armed church goer seated in the back, draws and fires his weapon upon the suspect, shooting, killing him and ending the rampage.

Gov. Greg Abbott released a statement on the incident, expressing sorrow for the loss of life and expressing gratitude for the good guy with a gun who took action to end the attack, saying:
Our hearts go out to the victims and families of those killed in the evil act of violence that occurred at the West Freeway Church of Christ. Places of worship are meant to be sacred, and I am grateful for the church members who acted quickly to take down the shooter and help prevent further loss of life.
