Tourists visiting Qinghai Lake in China’s Qinghai Province recently filmed three awe-inspiring water tornadoes.
The waterspouts, which appear to be massive tornadoes sucked from the lake’s surface, popped up while they were out in the middle of the water. Although the funnels were stunning to watch, I’m sure it was a tad frightening also. The triple spouts were visible for about five minutes as the tourists looked on.
Waterspouts are formed by a convection current of warm and cold air over a body of water.
Check it out below, it surely is something you don’t see everyday!
