Flash floods are no joke and they are not to be taken lightly! However, if you have the ability to witness a flash flood taking place from the safety of higher ground…they are certainly a sight to behold!

Typically flash floods occur in valleys as debris builds up higher in the mountains causing rain water to damn up. After a heavy rain, the debris will loosen and a rush of water and debris will flood the valley, travelling miles and miles turning the valley floor into a raging river!
