New computer simulations are showing how, as CO2 concentrations rise, stratocumulus clouds may weaken or even disappear completely. This would lead to a dramatic increase in temperatures as the Earth loses one of its key cooling systems.

There’s still hope if action is taken now! Reducing carbon emissions through renewable energy sources, like solar and wind, could slow this process down. Scientists are optimistic that clean energy innovations could bring transformative change, making it possible to avoid reaching that dangerous tipping point.
