Imgur user MidnightXII completely transformed his families old dining room into the perfect space for eating and entertaining.
The project is quite simple and very, very cost effective! When it comes to home renovations, the photos below prove you don’t have to compromise style and comfort when opting for a low-cost solution. #DIY
The dining table was a hand-me-down that only seated six. The need for a larger sitting area was a must!
Hand-me-down be gone!
Start by building the benches with supports and studs.
Attach vertical and horizontal supports on the floor to prevent the booth from bending backwards.
Plywood created the bench seats!
Seat foam was cut to size to make the benches more comfortable.
Waterproof outdoor fabric was used to cover the seats. This makes for an easy clean-up in case of spills.
Staple the fabric to the benches!
Bead board was cut to size for the bench facing.
Cut a hole for an AC vent!
Attach the trim with an electric nail gun!
This table is custom made, but feel free to use any table of your liking!
A few throw pillows and table setting accents bring the finished project together. This booth can now fit 12 people, and up to 15 if chairs are placed at the end of the table.
How cool is this? Talk about a total transformation!
