Most husbands find ways to hang with their guy pals, while wives find ways to make them stay at home — or so that is what some may believe. But if you are a guy and have been in a serious relationship, or are currently in a serious relationship, you know that your girlfriend or wife can be incredibly crafty when it comes to creating reasons why you should stay home with the fam!

Then you have 48-year-old Jayne Tapper, she takes a totally different approach to keeping her man home —  and it’s rather brilliant!

Paul Tapper was fond of visiting a local pub for his daily dose of booze and friends. In order keep a check on this, his wife decided to build a pub in their own backyard.

The pub, called the ‘Doghouse pub’ was built in five months and allows Paul, his wife and their friends to play games, sip a little booze, and listen to tunes! All without having to leave the couple’s home! Like we said, it’s brilliant!

“My husband Paul, 53, an engineer had always loved popping down to our local bar, and I could never seem to keep him at home. And so I got thinking – why not create my own pub, become my own lady and then I can really tell people – my husband’s in the doghouse,” Jayne told Metro.

Jayne stated that they had to level out their garden area anyways, so it only made sense to just build a mini bar instead!

Jayne shared how building her own pub at home has helped her husband stay home. “He won’t want to go to the local anymore – we have three basset hounds and a mate was able to create us a sign for the front of the pub, with one of our dogs, Rufus on,” she said.

In reality, this sounds like the coolest thing ever —  doesn’t it? How fun!

“Then I worked on making it like a proper pub – because to start with, it was just like a log house. ‘But I wanted people to be astounded so we continued to transform it into a mini pub,” she added.

Though they have spent quite a bit of money on the backyard pub, the couple believes they will soon be making profits! They have also received some of the items like a fridge, fire heater, sofa, etc for the pub as a gift from friends, reports Caters.
