One woman learned the hard way that lying isn’t cool! The lesson – taught by the woman’s own sister!

Florida student Casey Sosnowski posted a perfectly posed picture right before her hike at Lake Okahumpka Park and Trail in Florida. The trees were lush, the trail was inviting and well-trodden — all the makings of a perfectly crafted Instagram post.

The only problem with that? It was all a lie!

Casey posed for the photo, arms spread wide, fitness clothing galore and a water bottle in hand – in her own backyard! She then posted the picture on Instagram and tagged a popular hiking spot as the location of the photo.

“Nature is the ultimate healer to all our problems,” she wrote in the caption, along with a hashtag reading “nature lovers.”

Casey’s sister Carly saw the post and she wasn’t about to let her sister get away with such a lie!

On Twitter, Carly posted a screenshot of her sister’s Instagram post, along with quite the revealing behind-the-scenes shot of Casey posing for photos, and not on some rural hiking trail but in their own backyard.

“My sister said she was going hiking…..this is our backyard,” Carly captioned the pictures.

The tweet quickly went viral, pulling in nearly 300K likes and over 40K retweets!

Casey no doubt had a little anxiety prior to updating her ‘hiking’ Instagram post with the following caption : “Did I go hiking? No. Is this my backyard?… Maybe,” she wrote, along with a winking-eye emoji.

Many Twitter users found the event rather funny, many even commenting on how big their actual yard is – saying it looks like a beautiful hiking spot!
