Mold growth and dehydration are the two main causes of pumpkin rot. \u00a0Luckily, there are several ways to prevent both!<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Why Bleach works:<\/u><\/b> \u00a0the water helps hydrate the pumpkins which prevents rotting. \u00a0The bleach helps kill any bacteria and get rid of any dirt which prevents molding and further helps to keep the pumpkins from rotting.<\/p>\n Applying\u00a0Vaseline\u00a0to the carved parts of a pumpkin\u00a0prevents both dehydration and mold growth, making the pumpkins last weeks longer! \u00a0Simply rub Vaseline over the carved parts of the pumpkin as well as the inside. \u00a0You may want to use a glove to do this. \u00a0It might be a little messy, but it works great!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\nTip One: Bleach<\/h1>\n
