The Matrix<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It has been a long time since the last Matrix movie was released, luckily for all the Matrix fans out there &#8212; we won&#8217;t have to wait much longer for the next one to be released!<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. has officially announced that &#8216;Matrix 4&#8217; is happening! The movie will of course star Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.<\/p>\n<p>Reeves and Moss will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity while Lana Wachowski, who co-created the original trilogy, is also attached to the project.<\/p>\n<p>Lana will co-write, direct\u00a0and produce\u00a0the film. She will be joined by writers Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell, as well as producer Grant Hill, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2019\/film\/news\/matrix-4-keanu-reeves-carrie-anne-moss-lana-wachowski-1203307955\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich announced the news on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe could not be more excited to be re-entering \u2018The Matrix\u2019 with Lana,\u201d Emmerich told Variety in a statement.\u00a0\u201cLana is a true visionary \u2014 a singular and original creative filmmaker \u2014 and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in \u2018The Matrix\u2019 universe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The first &#8220;Matrix&#8221; film hit theaters in the spring of 1999 and was a critical and commercial hit.
