An aggregation of anchovy amassed near Scripps Pier at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego in La Jolla, Calif. on July 8, 2014.<\/p>\n

This is rather a rare sight as anchovies tend to enjoy the cooler waters of the ocean, so hugging the shoreline like this is out of the norm.<\/p>\n

The school forms walls 15 feet high as they swim together, divers and ocean lovers are seen checking them out in the clear waters.<\/p>\n
