Healthzap

In a world that thrives on social media where people see the world through the lens of a smartphone, Germany’s Adrienne Koleszár was just like every other person out there. From her photos alone, it’s easy to see why she was dubbed “Germany’s Hottest Cop” too, and her passion for keeping the streets of Dresden clean and safe was just as strong as keeping herself incredibly fit and strong as well. But apparently, some believed that she was leading some sort of ‘double life’ that they considered wrong when honestly, it was an unfair double standard that placed her choices under a microscope.

And worst of all, she was forced to make a choice between the job she loved and the life she loved to live.

She Absolutely Loved Her Job

""

Adrienne Koleszár loved being a cop in her hometown of Dresden, Germany. She had shared in an Instagram post, “Yes, I am a police officer in Germany, and yes, I love my job. Surely it is often hard work. Sometimes I have to handle things, which nobody would like to see. I am only human and I’m not perfect. But in the end I am very happy with my life.” And when Adrienne wasn’t busy walking the usually busy and tourist-filled streets of Dresden, she was doing other things that she absolutely loved.

Working Towards Her Fitness Goals

""

On her off time from being a police officer, Adrienne spent a lot of time doing something else she was very fond of, which was working out! She spent hours in the gym, getting her body in tip top shape by exercising, lifting weights, and eating well. But it came to a point when she knew she had to become even more serious about her goals if she wanted to fulfill her ultimate fitness dream. So she buckled down and got extra serious about how she ate, how she did her weight training, and basically everything she did.

Placing 2nd At the German Championship Bochum

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Eventually, all her hard work paid off. In November 2014, she managed to place 2nd at the German Championship Bochum, proving that her efforts weren’t wasted in the least. She joined a number of competitions and did very well for herself, and the reason why is obvious from her very fit physique. And in between working out and winning competitions, she still worked as a cop every day, making sure she was keeping the streets of her hometown safe.

Balancing Her Personal Life and Her Work Life Was a Challenge

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Despite her love for her job as a police officer, she was made to work many long hours while doing it. But then afterwards, she also spent a lot of time working out in order to build her body to be the way she wanted it to be. The lack of time within the day was a challenge, yet it was one that she was willing to deal with, but there was no doubt that her personal life struggled because of it. Eventually, she turned to social media where she would share her fitness journey, as well as other tidbits of her life just like many others did.

People Began to Take Notice

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

As she began to share bits of her life, people began to notice her more and more. There was no denying the fact that Adrienne’s progress was incredible, and she deserved all the praise that she got. She was proof that hard work equals major gains, and it was also something that she was very proud of too. Soon enough, people began to follow her on Instagram, and she was getting hundreds of likes and tons of comments from people who were watching her fitness journey. Over time, she gained over 600K followers, an impressive number to say the least.

Dubbed Germany’s Hottest Cop

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Eventually, Adrienne was dubbed Germany’s Hottest Cop, and no one could really disagree. At the time, she was 34-years old and living her life in the way she truly wanted. Her social media page was filled with photos and videos of her workouts, her competitions, and soon enough sponsors from companies asking her to talk about their products, which ended up filling her feed as well. But it would seem that there were a few judgmental eyes that did not like what they were seeing, and they were just waiting to let her know.

Her Posts Were Racy, In Some People’s Eyes

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Adrienne had no idea that there were some people looking at her posts that didn’t exactly like what they were seeing. Yet she was continuously posting photos of what she thought was progress, showing off the fact that she was proud of what she had accomplished. If you asked most, there’s no way that they wouldn’t agree with you. But sadly, some people couldn’t get over the fact that she was showing off so much skin, no matter how amazing she looked.

It Wasn’t Just the Fitness Competitions

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Although it was her fitness posts that got her a ton of followers, it wasn’t just her videos and photos of her workouts that she posted on her IG page. Adrienne loved to travel, and she had a number of pictures that showed off her many adventures. She had a lot of photos from different. People began living vicariously through her, and taking notice of how much pull she had through her account.

She Was Getting Modeling Jobs and Ads Left and Right

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

She began to show more and more photographs of her modeling jobs. But what many thought to be images of beauty, others actually started to feel like she was living some sort of double-life. Some began to wonder, how could she possibly be a police officer while showing off her body the way she did? It seemed like they felt like there was too much of a divide between her true life as a cop and what they thought was a girl playing dress up and just wanting to show off her half-naked body in skimpy or tight clothes.

Was She A Cop or Was She A Model?

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Considering that her Instagram account showed more photos of Adrienne either working out, wearing a bikini, or promoting a product she was getting paid a lot of money to talk about, people began to wonder, was she really a cop? Of course for Adrienne, the money she was earning for all of her advertisements was amazing, and her savings account was just getting fatter by the minute. As her influence grew, so did the companies wanting her to post about them, so it had to be a win-win right?

Did She Go Too Far?

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Unfortunately for Adrienne, not everyone loved her and what she was doing. There was growing anger over her feed and the life she happened to be living. Apparently, some people decided to bring their concerns of her “bad behavior” to her superiors and they weren’t happy to hear about any of it. Sadly, these people had the ability to turn her very awesome life into a living hell. But before that would actually happen, Adrienne decided to take a 6-month hiatus from her police job to travel the world and enjoy what was now her newfound life.

Sharing A Bit More About Her Travels

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

She spent half a year doing whatever she wanted, traveling the world, and visited places that some people only dreamed of seeing. Whether she could feel a bit of resentment from her co-workers about her 6-month hiatus or she just wanted to share her side, she explained in one of her posts, “I will not receive any compensation from the Free State of Saxony, live on my savings and on my social media activities.” But her travel high was all going to come crashing down soon enough.

Finally Going Back to Work

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Like everything else good in the world, her vacation had to come to an end. She shared with her followers, “I’m going to work. I’m going back on the beat. I’m putting my uniform on.” But when she got back on the scene, she knew that something wasn’t right. She would soon find out that one of her co-workers had filed a complaint about her, and what was about to happen was something she would have never thought possible. Her job was in jeopardy, and yet she didn’t even know what she had done wrong.

Called Into Her Boss’s Office

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Just as quickly as she had reached a high during her travels, she would find herself being pulled back to earth just as quickly. As soon as she got back to work, she was called into her boss’s office, and she would soon find out exactly what they thought about all this new fame and fortune. What Police Chief Horst Kretzschmar first pointed out was that her six months away had caused a lot of strain on her co-workers in her absence because they had to do more while she was away. But that wasn’t the main reason why he was so upset.

She Couldn’t Believe What She Was Hearing

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Aside from her superior telling her that she had left the rest of her work crew hanging, but he also said that her trip and what she was doing was not in line with the job that they did as police and what they stand for. But all she could think about was what had she done wrong? Was she not allowed to take time off from work to travel and do things for herself? And while it sounded like this to her, she was going to get another punch to the gut, one that she wasn’t mentally prepared for at all.

Wrongly Using Her Social Media Influence

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Adrienne would soon hear that her co-officers not only didn’t like her new social media fame, and they felt like her posts were incredibly inappropriate. And even worse, they felt like she was actually giving the Dresden police force a bad reputation while she was at it. All the while, Adrienne actually thought that she was inviting a positive light to their force, especially since she was so proud of her day job. But to her complete and utter shock, they felt the exact opposite.

Going Against the Grain

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

They told Adrienne that rather than build the force up, she was going against the grain and therefore tearing them down. They also said that she was using her police officer role to build her credibility online in order to sell the products she was asked to promote since the police department didn’t endorse them themselves. Her boss even told her that this in particular was a huge conflict of interest.

Could She Call Foul at Discrimination and Sexism?

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Adrienne knew that she was great at her job, but here she was worrying if she was going to lose it because of thing she had posted on her IG account. In fact, wasn’t it a tad bit sexist that she was getting into trouble for a personal account that showed off her other passions? If it had been one of the male police officers, would someone have complained about them? Although it’s quite sad, most would have to admit that the answer would be a definitive no.

Being Told to Give Up her Instagram Hustle

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

To make things worse, Adrienne was told that she was going to have to make a choice between her job and the life she had built outside of her job, which was her Instagram hustle. Crazy as it sounds, her boss had explained that her IG life didn’t jive with her life as a police officer, in their eyes at least. She loved being a cop, but considering that her Instagram was her passion, and all the money she earned was such a major plus, it was quite a hard decision to make. Plus she didn’t want to leave her 600K followers hanging either after all of their support.

She Had To Make a Really Tough Decision

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Although her boss and the rest of her co-workers didn’t think so, Adrienne had worked really hard to get her IG page to what it was, and it was something to be proud of. She shared, “Of course I had to consider whether I would go back on January 1 and whether I wanted to.” She also explained, “Am I happy with that I’m doing at the moment? Am I unhappy and do I need to change anything?”

She Managed to Strike A Deal

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Thankfully, the fact that she was a good cop was enough for her to keep her job. According to Adrienne, “It wasn’t really any more than that. I’ve never been treated without respect because I’m the Adrienne you can see on the internet.” Yet her deal with the force meant that as long as she kept both lives separate and that it didn’t interfere with her duties as a cop, then she could continue to be a police officer on the police force she loved so much. She added, “I have no fear about returning to my duty, being on patrol and working my shifts. I’m convinced it won’t hinder my work.”

Keeping Both Lives Separate

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

In the end, when things began to calm down with the police force, Adrienne was able to return to social media and what was normal for her. Honestly, it still felt a bit chauvinistic and sexist to think that she was being shamed for showing that side of her life with her followers. There was nothing wrong with a woman who proud of her accomplishments, and shared her gains with the rest of the world. But bartering the deal with the police department also meant that she could keep her job and continue to share her life with her followers.

Making the Right Choice

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

In the end, Adrienne’s decision to keep her personal and professional life separate is probably the best one she’s made yet. Although she needs to be careful about posting about her work, it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t love what she does or can’t be proud of her role outside of the police force. She didn’t get over 600K followers for nothing right? In fact, she deserves every single one of them!

Living the Life That Everyone Wants

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

These days, not only are her followers privy to all of her amazing workouts, gains, competitions and products she endorses, but Adrienne has taken everyone on a journey of her life. She’s been able to travel the planet, taking breathtaking photos in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Her posts have created wanderlust in every single person that has had the pleasure of seeing them too.

Showing Her Family Some Love

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

She also pays tribute to her family, like how she posted a photograph standing beside her father. Roughly translated from German, she wrote on her post, “Because you understand me without knowing my world. Because you accept my decisions without judging. Because you are like me and because you always make me chicken soup. ♡” And if this just isn’t he sweetest message that any daughter could give to her dad then we don’t know what is.

It Can Get Lonely

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Although she’s managed to go to a number of gorgeous places around the world, it can get lonely. Adrienne had a boyfriend, one that was even proud of the life she led, but she eventually ended up sharing on her page that their relationship didn’t work out because of her fame. She wrote, “’You in the public. In a world you never wanted. But I wanted it. Absolutely. At any price. Egotism, pure egotism. And protection. Protection from life, from people, from wrong decisions, from myself. You were always my protection. And you’re infinitely more than that to me. 10 years, a lot happened, up and down, back and forth. Nothing is as it seems. Now I say openly: We’re free. Two people. New chances. And yet, forever. Translation: [my boyfriend] and I have separated.”

A New Year

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

In the start of 2019, Adrienne’s followers were ecstatic to see that she posted a photo of herself in her police uniform. Translated from her post, she wrote, “FINALLY. Finally 2019. I’m going to look for my socks 🧦. That’s how I wanted to describe it. But different. Everything at the beginning. Welcome to the brand new year. I’m excited. And no matter what the end YouTube of my new YouTube video, I look forward to your feedback. All the best. Link to it in the bio.” Her post went on to get over 50K reactions and at least 900 comments too.

Eventually Meeting Mr. Right

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

Eventually, she found Mr. Right, and was more than happy to post about him. She wrote, “I am very fond of the tattooed man aka ferret. because he can dance, is more than crazy, always cheers me up, always gives me the feeling that I am enough and because of that! Vacation is running, Crete tastes good, weight without guarantee. what do you value in a partner? your AK (still in love) 😬”

Keep Looking Forward

""

Instagram / @adrienne_koleszar

If there’s one thing to learn from Adrienne, it’s that choosing to follow your dreams and loving your job don’t have to be two different things kept completely. In fact, they should be celebrated and enjoyed, like everything else in life worth celebrating. Although it took some time for her to get to this point in her life, she’s proof that doing what you love can be truly worth it, just keep looking forward and never give up on your dreams.
