Police report that an alligator measuring 13 feet (4 meters) long was killed after being seen in Florida with a woman’s body in its mouth.

An alligator was reportedly seen by a witness in a Largo canal gripping a lower torso in its mouth.

The animal was killed, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, which also verified the discovery of Sabrina Peckham’s 41-year-old remains in the waterway.

The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death will be determined via an investigation.

According to police, deputies responded to a call about a body in a river on Friday at 13:50 local time.

Jamarcus Bullard claimed to have seen the alligator holding what initially seemed to be a mannequin in its mouth while on his way to a job interview.

According to him, “I noticed it had a body in its mouth — like a lower torso — so once I saw that I ran straight to the fire department,” he told regional media outlet Fox 13.

“It was the first time I had ever seen a gator in person, so at first I thought it was pretty cool, but when I saw what it had, I thought, ‘Is that like a mannequin?'”

It was white and pale.

It just fastened onto it and swam backwards to the canal’s bottom. In another interview with 10 Tampa Bay, he stated, “I simply couldn’t believe it was genuine.

The family of Ms. Peckham, who claimed that the deceased was residing in a homeless camp close to the wooded area at the time of her passing, has established a fundraising website in her honor.
