You weren’t the only one who got booted from Facebook or Instagram while browsing earlier on Tuesday (3/5/24).
Tuesday morning, Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and Threads all displayed “failure to load” error pages due to issues with Meta’s social media accounts. Millions of users were automatically logged out of their respective accounts and were unable to log back in. This prompted many users to thing that they were ‘hacked’. When you attempted to reset your password, you were either given error messages, or stuck in a continuous loop of trying to enter a new password.
Facebook released a message stating they know about the issue and are currently working on. Slowly, account logins are being restored.
So if you can’t log in right now, it’s not you — it’s them.
