Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have been long time friend and are often mistaken for one another. Now, there may be a very good reason as to why they are often mistaken as one another.
Matthew McConaughey thinks Woody Harrelson could be his actual biological brother.
This all stems from a revelation that McConaughey’s mother knew Harrelson’s father, perhaps intimately. They are yet to do a DNA test to confirm or deny.

[Source] – “In Greece a few years ago, we’re sitting around talking about how close we are and our families,” McConaughey continued. “And my mom is there, and she says, ‘Woody, I knew your dad.’ Everyone was aware of the ellipses that my mom left after ‘knew.’ It was a loaded K-N-E-W.”
The revelation led McConaughey to investigate his family history. He said, “We went on to unpack what this ‘knew’ meant and did some math and found out that [Harrelson’s] dad was on furlough at the same time that my mom and dad were in their second divorce. Then there’s possible receipts and places out in West Texas where there might have been a gathering, or a meeting, or a ‘knew’ moment.”
Now, this could most certainly be a stunt to promote their new show ‘Brother from Another Mother’, I mean, come on…we are not idiots here. But if what McConaughey is saying about his mother and Woody’s father…this could most certainly be possible.
McConaughey also stated that his mother had a ‘special’ connection with Woody’s father and no one ever knew what that ‘special’ connection was. Well, could it be this…could the pair have had relations and spawns a little Woody?
Only time and a DNA test will tell!
