Have you ever met someone who sneezes like 3, 4, 5 or even 10 times in a row when they sneeze? Most people just sneeze twice on average when the urge hits, but there are a select few that can’t help but sneezing an insane amount of times.

Here are a few reason as to why!

Incomplete expulsion: The most common reason is that the first sneeze just wasn’t enough to completely clear out the irritant in your nose. It could be a speck of dust, pollen, or some other trigger. So, your body follows up with another sneeze (or two) to make sure everything is expelled.

Hypersensitivity: Some people have more sensitive nasal passages than others. This can mean they sneeze more easily and frequently, and it might take more than one sneeze to get the job done.

There’s also a less common condition called photic sneeze reflex, or ACHOO syndrome. This is where people sneeze in response to bright light.
