If you watched the Super Bowl game, you may have noticed someone that looked a little different on the field in the fourth quarter. It wasn’t a player, it wasn’t a ref, in fact — it wasn’t even a fan! It was all business.

In the fourth quarter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl game, a dude ran onto the field, sporting a pink leotard with the words ‘Vitaly Uncensored’ written across the front. The dude managed to make it all the way across the field before being tackled and taken into police custody. Certainly enough time for video and still images to be taken of the man. Video and images that are making the rounds around the world today.

So who was the streaking mad man?

He is a guy part of team Vitaly. And this situation was nothing more than a marketing stunt by porn site Vitalty Uncensored. Which, if you might recall, was the website behind last year’s Super Bowl runner, who managed to briefly take the field in her own promotional leotard before being hauled away, as well as a number of other similar stunts during live sporting events, including the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the 2016 NBA Finals.

Vitaly – Right

Vitaly Uncensored was launched by popular YouTube prankster Vitaly Zdorovtskiy. Vitaly rose to fame after he himself streaked across the field during the 2014 World Cup. Since then, Vitaly himself has been officially banned from every major sporting arena around the world. So — he has others do his dirty work for them!

But the idea of streaking across a field during a major sporting event, with your brand or website plastered on ones chest — is actually quite a brilliant idea — in regards to marketing. I mean, if you are selling insurance, it’s probably a dumb idea…but if you are marketing a social platform, adult website, or marketing towards a younger crowd of people — it’s super smart!

Consider this. Just 30-sceonds of commercial air time during the Super Bowl will set you back roughly $5.5 million in 2021, and that doesn’t guarantee that you even have all of the 50 million plus viewers attention, as it’s a commercial and many people are doing other things during commercials (going to the bathroom, grabbing another brew, etc).

So there’s that.

Now consider this. The game is on, it’s fourth quarter and everyone is glued to the TV to check out the action and boom! Gameplay is interrupted because someone streaks on to the field — and look — they have something written on their chest. What is it? Oh it’s a website.

Now, the next day — everyone is writing articles about this guy, sharing his photo and video with the website name plastered on his chest. Boom! A ton of advertising — and at what cost?

Well, Vitaly shared video of his ‘then’ girlfriend getting bailed out of jail after streaking last year’s Super Bowl and the cost of this ‘ad’ was this: A few thousand dollars in fines and legal fees and a few hours in a holding cell at the local jail.

So in reality, while many may feel that streaking the field is immature and uncalled for — it’s actually a super genius marketing move!
