How To Grow Garlic Indoors

You don’t need to have a green thumb in order to grow garlic indoors! It’s fun, easy and ultimately – tasty!

This method of growing garlic indoors won’t produce the same garlic bulb that you traditionally find in grocery stores. Instead, you will be producing garlic greens.

These are the types of garlic greens that will sprout straight from the bulb’s apex. These greens offer a more subtle flavoring texture than the usual garlic bulbs. That does not make them any less delicious, and the flavor that they can add to all of your dishes cannot be ignored. It’s easy enough to get started, too. Grab a pot and some potting soil and you are in business.

These bulbs have a longer growth period and will require the winter dormancy period to reach their full potential. It takes a few months for the flower to be produced. In order for the garlic head to fully generate, it is going to take some time. Martha Stewart was kind enough to share some tips, so we thought we would pass them on!

There really isn’t any reason to head to the grocery store for something so simple!
