The secret is out. A man who goes out of their way to smell fresh and amazing is a man women will love. It’s irresistible. Do you want to know what’s even more amazing? The right kind of smell will make people like you more in general.

Think about it. With this power of smell, you could impress the girl you have a crush on or even your boss.

Although it should be noted men take a backseat when it comes to noticing and identifying smells. Women, however, take the trophy home. They can identify smells a lot better than men.

With this in mind, and since they have such a strong sense of smell, it’s up to you to be on top of it!

So, let’s begin this education lesson with how you can start paying a little more attention in maintaining a clean, fresh, and sexy smelling lifestyle.

1. Take a Proper Shower EVERY DAY

We start by taking a shower – the right way. This means you have to shower every morning before you head out for work, school, or whatever daily activity you have planned.

If you’re an early bird who likes to fit in a workout beforehand, definitely take a shower after you are done. The key is not only to smell clean but to be clean as well.

Don’t forget to use soap. A 5-minute shower isn’t really a shower if all you’re doing is rinsing yourself with water and then getting out. You can do much better than that! After all, what scent does water provide?

If your skin feels dry from using a bar of soap, go for a liquid body wash instead. Whatever you do, take a shower the proper way, and you’ll smell and feel great.

2. Control Your B.O; Shave Your Underarms

We all know sweat is just a mixture of salt, water, and chloride. It’s also odorless. So, it begs to question: Where does the smell come from?

For those of you who don’t know, our armpits secrete a substance called sebum. It’s oily and bacterias love to feast on it, which is what causes the odor. So, if you have hairy armpits, it gives the sebum even more chance of spreading all over and producing odor.

Women can detect strong body odors fairly quickly, and they’ll vanish in the blink of an eye if you’re not too careful. We’d suggest shaving your armpits and keeping them smooth, clean, and bacteria free.

It will help significantly in battling bodily odors.

3. Deodorant and Antiperspirant

Deodorant is used to cover up body odor. They contain antibacterial ingredients like triclosan. These ingredients help to kill those odor-producing bacterias, keeping you smelling nice and fresh all day long. Although do keep in mind: deodorant doesn’t prevent sweating.

Unlike a deodorant, an antiperspirant actually helps prevent you from sweating. Antiperspirants contain aluminum and zirconium, two elements which help to block those sweat-releasing pores.

They both have different uses, and there is very little difference between expensive and non-expensive brands. Every deodorant and antiperspirant is made with the same ingredients that help cover up smells and/or stop you from sweating.

Ultimately, if you’re someone who sweats easily and constantly displays wet underarm patches, an antiperspirant is what you need. However, if you don’t want to block those pores, a nice smelling deodorant is an ideal alternative.

4. Taking Care of Your Oral Hygiene

Taking proper care of your oral hygiene is an important step towards making sure you have a healthy, clean mouth. This is vital because your mouth is another place where bacterias love to chill out.

It’s usually on the back of your tongue where bacteria reside. If it remains, grows and thrives, bad breath is the result. Nonetheless, if you’re not cleaning your teeth properly, bacteria can grow everywhere in your mouth.

So, in order to avoid this, start by brushing and flossing twice a day. Also, don’t forget to use mouthwash. It’s typically recommended by dentists to use mouthwash before going to sleep. This helps to fight bacteria from building up throughout the night.

So, remember to brush and floss twice a day, and also use mouthwash. If you don’t already, develop this hygiene plan into your daily routine ASAP!

5. Invest In Colognes

Last but not least, colognes. It’s fine to have a clean and healthy lifestyle which makes you smell fresh, but it’s equally important you smell good.

Sarah from Faveable says that the right kind of cologne can trigger a positive response from the opposite sex. Plus, it’s been proven by researchers that any sort of odor can influence people’s opinions – both good and bad.

When you enter, say, a bakery or cosmetic store, think about how they use smell to their advantage. It can be significant in influencing shoppers to buy their products.

So, imagine what you could do with the right kind of cologne. Forget impressing just the ladies. You could create a lasting impression on your boss and colleagues with a nice smelling cologne.

Final Thoughts

We all lead busy lives and struggle to find the time to look after ourselves. In the midst of this confusion we call life, it’s easy to forget the little pleasures we owe to ourselves from time to time.

Yet, smelling fresh and sexy is easily achievable. Yes, it’s going to be tough to fit everything in right away, but remember: it’s not rocket science!

With daily practice and due diligence, anything is possible. Start slow with simply taking a proper shower every day. You can even hit two birds with one stone by shaving your armpits during the shower.

Once you start to notice the positive changes and how people – especially women – behave towards you, you’ll understand why committing to smelling better is so important!
